These images show offerings of medical instruments to Imhotep who was worshipped for medical knowledge. He was an architect but praised after his death for the medical knowledge. The instruments, hard to see, include scissors, forceps, tweezers, needles, mallets and saws. You can see the pregnant woman on the birthing stool, which was granite with a hole to deliver baby through. They believed this was the best position to give birth, and many villages in this area still use these.
