This is our guide Ayman, in the striped shirt, in the home of a Nubian woman we visited in her village. She lives with 15 people all her family. When a girl gets married her husband moves into the family home with her parents, siblings etc. We were allowed into all the rooms and she was lovely. The houses are made from mud brick but are painted often. A handprint about each door protects the room from evil. Although still Egyptian, Nubians have their own spoken language as well as arabic and they don't marry outside the village.
