Built to honour the goddess Isis, this temple, another built for Hathor and the roman emperor's home built nearby were all moved from Phila island between 1972 and 1980. This was 70 years after the first dam was built by the british, which flooded their original site. They were submerged for all that time but still have great detail when you go inside.

Philae temple
