Was in the hospital for 5 hours again today. The doctors still think it's just reflux and nothing to worry about but he has a third medicine to take now. He has an umbilical hernia that the people at the hospital said was a normal belly-button when we asked. It's only when the GP did his check that she mentioned it in an offhand way. We're told it's not caused by him straining whilst screaming hard, but don't believe them so now we feel even worse when we can't calm him down, because he's so sore. It doesn't hurt him but it looks horrible and makes his nappies sit funny. Hopefully it'll go away by itself before he's two or else we end up back in hospital for an operation. Anyway, we've to feed him when he acts hungry even if he's being sick. That means every hour or so. We feed him, he's sick. He screams for more milk. We feed him. He's sick. He screams for more milk. Sometimes he's so tired he falls asleep after a feed for 20 minutes or so and then it starts again. But this is common and nothing to worry about?! We have enough expressed milk left for one more bottle. It's going to be a long night.
