The way things should be
Matthew should always have his Boo Bear. He should be able to watch one Mr Tumble each day. He should eat proper food at the table with the grown ups and be allowed to use his fingers if he wants. He should walk everywhere he can because he loves it until he's too tired. He should get a real bike for Christmas because he'll love it and the freedom it'll give him. He should be allowed to make his own music and dance as often as he wants to. He should have at least ten cuddles a day from people who love him. He should keep up his signing because he's really good at it. He should have a story every night and as often in between as he wants one. He should never have to be afraid, or feel sad or lonely. He should have friends to play with but know that it's ok to want to be by himself sometimes too. Most of all he should know how special he is and how much he's loved. I'm so proud of him although i've no right to be. I hope one day he knows that. He deserves much more than I'll ever be able to give him.

ReplyDeleteMargaret left a nice message. Karen thought it was lovely. What did my mother do? Call the health visitor and tell her I was going to kill myself. It's amazing how differently people react to the same thing, isn't it?
